THE STORY OF A PHOTOGRAPHER

I was born and raised in Dublin, Georgia. NYC was always my dream and do I feel lucky to be calling this place home and getting to create such beautiful images. As a Southerner I  am naturally drawn to preserving  memories, food, culture. We're natural  raconteurs,  give us half a minute and  we'll tell you a good story with no details spared. I found photography early in life at around 12 years old. Growing up in a small town in Georgia,  I would spend my summers with a camera in hand. I got my start by photographing family, friends, and just about anything that would sit still long enough.  I've had long extensive background with specifically wedding photography, with my start being in 8th grade. Around there, no one thought twice about a 13-year-old showing up to photograph a wedding. It was simple, scrappy, and where i first learned how to pay attention to people. After high school, I moved to Atlanta to study photography at the Portfolio Center, where I  shifted my focus to fashion and editorial work. Eventually bringing me to NYC, where i’ve been working as a freelance photographer since 2012.
